Project overview
This is the first episode and prototype of my future big project called Dream tapes. The game is about dream where protagonist wake up in middle of something and try to figure out what is happening or happened there.
Since this is a prototype me and my team decided to use framework to make sure that our design does work according to the goal. So my part in this game is designing the encounters and overall narrative, also customize some codes that came with the framework.
Challenges
The concept of the main game is a game that contain episodes which each are different, while all of these episodes come in form of dream tapes that player are wathcing. And for this first episode concept is that basics is house that only has windows on one side and hide something behind it. So with such abstract rough concept the design part of the game need to be done carefully to make sure that the game does deliver right experience.
My solution & contribution
With such concept, me and my team decided to purchase a framework to rush into the design part as soon as possible. After we got the framework, my job is to understand it and be able to adapt and cuztomize it to the point that the framework suit to our project.
Not just programming part, the designing part also need a good care. So my part here is to make sure that each events and encounters has meaning that goes with the story's message and does give the right feeling to player as well.
What have I learned?

Learn and adapt from other's code and structure.
- Narrative through elements
Not just story line but components does tell something.
- 3D Atmospheric control
Control the overall feel of the scene.
